Cytomegalovirus (CMV)

Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Information

Listen Foundation wants to alert people to the dangers of cytomegalovirus (CMV). When a mother contracts CMV while pregnant her fetus is also exposed. This can cause a large number of problems, including deafness or severe hearing loss. What we have learned is that raising awareness of the possible effects of CMV to the unborn child is needed and contact with the virus during pregnancy is avoidable.

Following is information provided by the National CMV Foundation.
