I’m honored and excited to step into the role of Executive Director at the Listen Foundation. This organization holds a very special place in my heart—my son, Derian, is a proud graduate of the Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) therapy program. Our family’s journey through the program was life-changing, and it inspired in me a deep commitment to supporting other families navigating hearing loss.
Professionally, I’ve spent the past 15 years with Cochlear Americas, working to advance access and support for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. Most recently, I was with OEI, a provider of Captioned Telephones for those with hearing loss. Through these roles, I’ve built strong relationships and developed a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the DHH community.
Joining the Listen Foundation feels like coming full circle. I’m thrilled to help lead an organization that has already made such a meaningful impact in my own life and the lives of so many others. I look forward to building on the strong foundation that’s been laid, expanding our reach, and continuing to provide families with the tools and support they need to help their children thrive through spoken language.
If you ever have any questions, comments, or ideas to share, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to hear from you—Todd@listenfoundation.org.
Warm regards,
Todd Hallberg
